Armature Demo

Check out my first video upload created with Movie Maker. I know it leaves a lot to be desired as it is too dark , and my voice sounds muffled and uhm...weird LOL. But, it is me showing a new method I came up with to create armatures for bears arms/legs. Don't laugh too hard heehee.

Now that I know how to do this I'll have to add more in the future , once I perfect my taping.

Enjoy :)
Oh, and watch for a new mink bear coming soon with these armatures.

If you can't see the video, try this link HERE . If you still can't see it just email me and I'll try to figure it out for you :)

Thanks for letting me know Carolyn. I just uploaded it into photobucket so it should work better now :)

Ok, that was such a cool tip!! And the video wasn't bad at all for a first try :) I've never done armatures, I always hated the process..this I could totally do! AND I already have the heat gun (yay!!)

thank you for sharing!!

You are so clever!!!
Stupid question: You don't secure one end to the joint, correct? The end with the wire sticking out is at the end of the limb(hand/foot) right? Or do you do it the other way around and connect the wire loop to your joint??

Thanks Chrissi & Daphne.

Daphne, I actually do it the other way around and secure the loop to the joint. I think it would be even better if I cover the entire wire with the platic and poke a hole through the loop end before attaching. A little More secure that way .

Another option is to attach the wire to those little ring terminals at the joint end.

As you know, there are tons of way to make armatures. This was just something new I wanted to try. I have since found a narrower tubing that work even better I think.

Hugs, Tammy
ps I still wrap the whole thing with batting too.
